Spring necklace with golden obsidian - READY TO WEAR

This stunning gold sheen obsidian is secured by decorative sterling silver leaf buds. The obsidian has been polished on both sides, with hand-pierced silver leaves decorating the front and back to make the pendant reversible.

The gold sheen obsidian cabochon has been polished on both sides and measures 4cm long. The pendant is strung on a sterling silver snake chain. Gold sheen obsidian is a natural volcanic glass - tiny air bubbles trapped in the natural glass create the metallic sheen on the surface of the stone. The sheen varies depending on the angle and strength of light being reflected, which makes the gold shimmer beautifully, but also vary in luminence.

The necklace was handmade in my workshop using recycled sterling silver and then hallmarked by the London Assay Office. Read more about hallmarking here.
