THE WORKSHOP
I design and hand-make jewellery from my studio in Fisherton Mill, Salisbury. Fisherton Mill is a converted Victorian grain mill, now home to an art gallery, cafe selling delicious food all day, and open studios for several artists and designers.
I use traditional techniques to hand-make each item of jewellery, so no two pieces are ever the same. I aim to create unique and striking jewellery reflecting natural forms in a contemporary style.
I work with sterling silver, yellow, white and rose gold. I love to incorporate gemstones in my designs, the natural beauty and colour of the stones enhancing the flowing lines of the silver and gold. The gemstones I use are ethically sourced, and usually hand-cut by British lapidaries. Where possible the silver and gold bullion I use is recycled.
INSPIRATION
My work is inspired by nature, botanical forms and textures. I use photography and sketching to record interesting features in nature, and incorporate them in unique, organic designs. I love to use graceful twisting tendrils of silver and gold, inspired by vines and climbers. The intricate leaves I incorporate in my designs are individually textured using real leaf skeletons, making each one truly unique.
ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSABILITY
Where possible, my packaging and stationery are recycled and environmentally friendly. My branded gift boxes are made using recycled card and a part recycled black foam interior. For the especially eco-minded I can package your jewellery in 100% recycled pillow boxes, tied with a recycled raffia ribbon bow. Gift bags, business cards, stationery and invoices are also made from recycled paper.
